1. from alaska
2. born in fairbanks
3. england/scotland/ireland - to vermont
4. the most beautiful thing about alaska is the purity (or used to be) of the water and how it looks in early spring frozen to the trees.  with the sun glimmering through it - all the trees look like boughs of crystal chandalier drops.  now, i live in pa and love the green.
5. here the strange local food is hoagies.  in alaska, i suppose indiginous meat - such as reindeer, or moose.
6. alaska - combination of conserv. and liberal.  somewhat like pa. i think people generally have good common sense in both places and don't overdo either one.
7. i would like to stay in pa - but visit britain/ireland/scotland.
8. soccer
9.  here in pa - the main language is english.  kids learn about 3-4 different languages in school here.  and, they have a great music program!

1.Where you from?
What kind of sentence is that? If you mean "where ARE you from?", my answer is the place from which I come.

2.Where were you born?
In my birthplace.

3Where's the last known place on earth you can trace your family line to?
I've no idea and even less interest, thanks, but that notwithstanding my answer would probably have to be "the last known place on earth".

4.Whats the most beautiful thing about your country or place of residence?
You ask for just one thing, but for me it would have to be a minimum of two things, since (like many other people) my country and my place of residence are not the same.

5.Do you have any strange local foods that other folks might consider quirky?
Are you asking me as an individual (or any other individual who might respond to your questionings here) or are you asking people as residents of a particular country whose "strange local foods" (if any) some "other folks" who are non-residents thereof "might consider quirky" (for reasons that you do not even suggest)...

6.Are people there conservative or laid back?
Where? Place of birth, country/ies of origin, place of residence or any combination of these?...

7.Where in the world would you like to live?
In whatever place happens to be my favourite place of residence.

8.Most popular sport in your country?(Khazaktan we already know)
Which country is "my" country? That of my birth? or my origin? or my residence? or the one where I'd like to live? And what about those answering these questions who could not care less about sport anywhere? And why don't you spell Kazakhstan correctly?

9.Main languages spoken there?
Again, where? If you're specifically referring to the place of residence of those whom you would like to provide answers to your questions, I will tell you that, in most parts of the country in which I reside (the towns of Wakefield and Bradford possibly excepted), the principal language is English, just as it is becoming in so many other countries, whatever Thal might amusingly tell you...

Anyway, I hope that you get the point...

Best,

Alistair

Would it not have saved you considerable time, just to simply answer the bloody questions?

1. No.
2. It took very little time anyway.
3. I did answer the questions, albeit in my own way.
4. I had not appreciated the possibility of bloodshed in approaching, let alone answering, those questions, so I not unnaturally welcome your customary kindness and consideration in drawing this to my attention, albeit after the non-event...
5. - 9. "If you want any more you can sing it yourself", as the well-worn cliché goes...

And now if I may ask YOU a question - why did you split an infinitive in your question?...

Best,
