federal grant funding
on: August 31, 2007, 02:27:13 PM
i clicked on this and found that there are many government grants available for women, business, etc. and was wondering if anyone here (from usa) has taken advantage of grants and how they work.
this morning, in talking to an agent (who used tele: 1 800 520 7109) he said the only fee is for shipping a cd with the listing of grants available on it. i am curious if there are hidden charges or if anyone could use this as a scam - getting personal info.
i'm always somewhat skeptical and didn't give him credit card info over the phone either. i asked him to mail the info. and i would order it then.
has anyone here gotten a government grant?

I used the US government's Pell grant for part of undergrad tuition... sadly they only offer that benefit to undergrads.

that's good! i'm hoping that i'll get this info in the mail and be able to use it. suppose that the individual grants available might even be on line for free. just have to look again. susan
