Where are Mozartian and phil13?
on: September 03, 2007, 10:03:40 PM
I thought I had a duel with these two ( by Aug. 31st) and now they haven't been here for ages. What happened to them? ??? :P

I have talked with both of them constantly since they left, and both have decided to never come back to this forum. No lie.

I will see what I can do to get them back. Both are quite busy though, and really don't have much time to get on this blasted piano forum.

maybe they are practicing?  pianowolfi - just post your stuff.  let them see it and then judge whether they want to duel anyways.  look what i did - just sightread the schubert and then nobody posted after me.  i won from just taking the time to sightread it.  then, play what you want.

But you were nasty to her first. I witnessed in the chat. She had a problem with her leg and you just wished her bad.

INCORRECT, when i hurt my leg some months previous to this, she was very nasty, so i was simply returning the compliment and she took offence.

I admit i should not have called her a disease ridden 50 cent prossie, but i did not know she was so sensitive.

As you can see from my signature, she was not exactly averse to remarks herself.

Hmm what do you find uncommon about an 18 y.old (or more or less) girl being sensitive?
But okay I damit, I didn't witness the first part, so I can't judge.

wouldn't be the first time, would it?  (i know - i should stay out of these things).  where's paris, yooniefield, the new girlfriend?  i should be jealous excepting i think they have been destroyed emotionally by the typical garbage you stack on women.  then you go and blow $500. on a mean boss?  do you like mean women?  i'm still trying to understand you.

people say condoleeza rice was a product of cold war indoctrination (black white) - but you are worse than her.  at least she has positioned herself to dismiss reality for getting along.  take her recent encouragement of india to nuclear non-proliferation.  i can hardly see you in india for a day.  (well, i might be hard pressed to know how to get around there either) - but, as i see it  - you are inflexible and intragient.

you need a new piano teacher too.  me.  i will help you.  psychologically and musically.  you will never be the same.

it's not every day that i suggest that someone be my pupil.  they are rare and far between because i am very selective.  i only take people who could possibly improve their situation by lightyears if they become unencumbered by rules.  of which - you know too many for piano.  you think i am stuck in religion.  you are stuck in piano worse.  and, with girls - there is no hope unless i help you.

do you want to see your fingers gain flexibility in a matter of seconds to minutes?  those scores you thought you'd never play - i could get you to play.  you would have an inimitable 'lightness of being.'  i bet you play the banjo this way.  as i see it - you already have some creative jazz resonance in the back of your head.  what you lack is dexterity.  this is due from too much weightlifting probably.

i bet when you start to play - you take a deep breath in and hold it slightly?  in fact, unconsciously, you probably tense your gut muscles and start mini-convulsions in the swallowing reflex to keep from regurgitating while you play.

all i'm saying is that playing the piano is more like ballet.  even with pieces like rachmaninov.  people think it's all - pound pound p ound.  well, your loss.  you shall never know the enlightenment that i should twinkle into you head.  we would start with a transcription of mendelssohn's 'a midsummer night's dream.'  you would then transfer this knowledge to the most difficult of repertoire - the fourth concerto of rachmaninov.  and, of course, astound your friends with all your godowsky and thalberg reminicences.

If i wanted lessons on how to become a gibbering pea brain, i admit i would ask you for assistance.

On pianistic matters, i think i will respectfully decline on the basis that i doubt if you could get anywhere near playing the pieces to which you refer.

i shall post the waldstein for you soon.  thereafter, the mendelssohn.  and probably respectably 20 years from now the rach.  (after i learn the first three).  anyways - you don'thave to play the entire piano repertoire to be a good teacher.

Ah, so it's no wonder I'm no pianist, then; thanks for the explanation.

even with pieces like rachmaninov.  people think it's all - pound pound p ound.  well, your loss.
Weight loss, presumably (all those pounds)...

you shall never know the enlightenment that i should twinkle into you head.
Er - pardon? Twinkle, twinkle, little Susan, how you don't know what you're losin"?...

we would start with a transcription of mendelssohn's 'a midsummer night's dream.'  you would then transfer this knowledge to the most difficult of repertoire - the fourth concerto of rachmaninov.
By whose standards is it that?

and, of course, astound your friends with all your godowsky and thalberg reminicences.
He already does that on a five-string banjo; didn't you know?

Don't blame me, blame the cab driver. I was coming back from Gilbertsville to Campus Drive and i guess he did not have to go that way.

Perhaps he did not know about the construction.

Try ringing the Valley Cab Company on (215) 679 - 6215 and ask for Mario. Tell him the best way to go in future.

are you kidding me?  what the heck were you doing in gilbertsville?  i live in collegeville.  tell the cab driver to bring you over tommorrow for a piano lesson.  maybe a cup of tea, too.

ps if i wasn't married - i'd ask what you're doing tonight.  you know - go to a movie or something.

who's in gilbertsville?

why didn't you tell me you were coming?  i have to mow the lawn tommorrow.  you'll have to help me.  anyways - that's where i'll be.  in the backyard.

Nice to see that thalbergmad still loves me!

But yeah, I really haven't had time for any forums since school started. My days are almost completely packed, and what free time I do have should be spent on homework and practicing- and what generally happens is that I run into some friends and end up 'wasting' most of that time anyway- so distractions like this have really had to go.

Wolfi- I'm really sorry, I totally forgot about the duel.  :-[

But yeah, I'm doing fine!
