but right now my favorite piece is probably Chopin's waltz op 64 no 2
oh man, that's the part that I can play and the part that I love most, I'll definately try to find that recording, anywhere on the internet that you know of that has it?
No need to search on the web for Rubinstein playing Chopin. Almost all classical record stores have it.
My third favorite is a somewhat common and much more subtle piece, Wedding Day at Troldhaugen, by Grieg. The melody is lovely, and gets stuck in my head frequently!
no idea what it could be. Here's some:-Scriabin: Vers la Flamme and Sonata No. 5-Chopin: Fantasie in F minor and Polonaise-Fantaisie-Liszt: B minor sonata, of course-Schubert: Sonata D959-Ravel: Une barque sur l'océanThat's all I can think of at the moment.
Hey, I was just wondering why nobody had mentioned the Schumann fantasy. It's one of the undisputed masterworks of the romantic period. I guess I was just suprised that nobody thinks that is the best piece. (do you guys tend to turn away from Schumann? Save the fantasy, I don't like him as much as Chopin or Liszt)
