I don't understand...  ::)

It's not him, who is paranoid - he makes fun of the paranoia of others  :)

And the others then accuse him of mental disturbance. That's disturbing!

This guy is truly a pop cultural phenomenon.  He's everything our age wants -- and he knows it.  He's sexually ambiguous; vain; provocative around shallow, inconsequential issues; tacky and a little repulsive because of that; photogenic; and, most importantly in my book, one helluva actor!

He's making fun of all of us by making a lurid, ridiculous spectacle of himself.  He really knows what he's doing.  In short, he's Amerikan Pop Kultur personified.  He's just a non-musical version of Britney and Madonna.  A self-promoting, self-serving wh*re who acts as a mirror to that murky world out there that wouldn't know Mozart if it found him in its sock drawer.

Among other things, he's satirizing our interest in crap like Britney . . . and, ironically, him!

Andy Warhol would have adored him for all the above reasons.  Warhol would have made him one of his "superstars" like Ultraviolet, Edie and Viva.  He's pure, pedigree trash and he knows it.

He's a glorious car wreck.

Long live Chris Crocker!  ;D
Current repertoire:  "Come to Jesus" (in whole-notes)

Greetings

For as long as there will be idiots responding to him and his videos, he will have his fame. It's not his fault he is famous, it is the people that make the responces to that sort of behavior the give him the power. I don't care if the video is a true show of emotion concerning his veneration of the pop star, or just a joke, it is the public's reaction to it that is giving it fame, not the other way around. Why would an audience respond to idiocy? The only scenario that makes sense is that such idiocy is a magnet for idiots, of which there are many, as seen by the video statistics.

People look in a mirror and they cry in desparation: look how crazy this guy/girl is!!!

Chris Crocker is a philosopher. He shows the people, how american culture works.
And people are really shocked. That's fine  ^_^
