Internet Trolling
on: September 25, 2007, 05:28:32 PM
No one likes internet trolling except the troll.  I found this image online but it had a white background.  In order for it to be more useful on this site, I inverted the B/W and thought I'd put it up here and just see what happens.  Use it how you'd like, but I'm not suggesting anything in particular be done with it... have fun!

Peace,
Josh  8)

Hmmm....great idea, but don't trolls sort of just infect other threads more than starting their own?

Did you not understand that JLH is not a troll in himself, he's just talking about 'em?  ;D

Yes.  I was referring to the message in the picture:  "Do not reply to this thread, let it fall to the bottom....."  It was the troll alert suggesting that trolls start threads, when really I believe they simply infect others' threads.  But then, there's Breadboy, the lovable king of trolls, who quite successfully started a thread and maintained it for a long time without being found out.

haha actually I just offered this troll picture for people to use on other threads if they think there are trolls present and wish to take action... How is it possible to start a troll thread?  Isn't that a contradiction in terms?  :P lol

Iv seen some of the worst trolling imaginable on certain online health boards. Its absolutely sickening... and I dont mean in the slightly comical way! It is the dark, cowardly under belly of human nature.

As you might have noticed, I just love trolls!  ;D

Some of the trolls on here are naturals that probably don't even realize that they're trolling. It's sad. :(

If only pianistimo was still here, I'm sure she would tell us what the bible has to say regarding trolls... I'm pretty sure there is a pertinent psalm somewhere.

But she isn't (or at least if she is here she is no longer contributing posts) so, in her absence as a contributor, does anyone else here want to suggest what works such as the Q'ran orthe Talmud might have to say on the subject?...

In the beginning, before bandwidth, there was nothingness. Out of that endless void God and His heavenly host created...Arpanet, and it was good. But the scientific, military and computer angels Who dwelled in Arpanet were lonely, so They brought forth Browser, and the Web was born. It, too, was good and the children of the internet lived in peace and harmony and were fruitful and multiplied, but God warned His people not to eat of the forbidden fruit of commercialism. Alas, they disobeyed and soon barbarians drove the children of the internet out of Paradise. God, in His wrath, turned away from His people and condemned them to wander in the digital wilderness, but from time to time He will suddenly appear in mailing lists, chat rooms and discussion forums to remind us sinners that we could be saved if only we would hearken unto Him.
