Poll: Did you ever have suicide thoughts?

The thread of leonidas about suicide rates made me think about making a poll. I guess that many people think about suicide but only a few of them do it.

I hope, this topic is not too sensible for a poll

I tried it once with sleeping pills but did not take enough.

Got sectioned and chucked in the nuthouse for 3 months.

Not a lot really in the first month. Drugged up a bit and monitored mainly.

Therapy, counselling did not start in my case for what seemed a long time. I spent most of my time lying on my bed reading Moby Dick.

I was in the same ward as a religious nut like pianistimo. He would preach to himself for hours whilst staring at a shaving mirror.

I would find it difficult to talk about it in person, but on the internet it does not bother me.

I believe i was made stronger by what happened and it has decreased the chances of a repeat.

Thought about it once, but then, what arrogant teenager hasn't?

But then remembered cause and effect, and what possible consequences would there be.

Plus, if I'm going to rot, I may as well live life to the fullest before I die.

I would prefer to die by my own hand than wither away slowly. I have very high agency

i had these thoughts couple a years ago back in college and tried to act on them unsuccessfully thank god

at that time i was depressed in an extreem way i thought i'm goning to lose my mind and i blamed everthing for my depression

i mostly got over it self medicating myself you know drinks, drugs smoking ahh college

but i'm glad i went thought that period because i changed alot after it.

I had the opposite of klavierkonzerte:  drank then thought about suicide.

Got really smashed, woke up feeling horrible but still went to school.  After school had a nap on the couch then woke up with a screaming headache that didn't go away for 2 weeks.  From a dull throb over the top of my skull then as the day wore on it would become waves of intense pain all night.

Somewhere around 10 days of this it seemed natural to have the thought "if I kill myself the pain will go away".  It just popped into my head involuntarily, I gave it a moments thought and decided that would be a mistake.

It was over Christmas holidays too

I had suicidal thought when being a kid, and if there were not my very nice piano teachers and my dear friends (especially Johann Sebastian and Ludwig van), I would not have grown old.
