New (for me) Steinway B
on: October 04, 2007, 05:56:09 PM
Hi, I'm new to this forum and just upgraded my piano.  After playing on a 1909 A.B. Chase (5'8") for the last 30 years (it had undergone a major rebuild in 1977), I upgraded to a Steinway B.  The Chase (listed in Larry Fine's book as one of the premier companies pre-1930) was a comfortable and good sounding instrument.  But my new (2000) Steinway B is superb and a real joy to play.  My parents came over for a "christening" and we had a fun evening of music making.  Here are a couple pictures

Wow!  Congratulations!  It looks like a dream come true.  After waiting 30 years, it seems you deserve it! :)
