No time for lessons
on: October 04, 2007, 06:29:02 PM
I have been playing the piano for 2 years almost and have finished my lesson books. In the past I have had time for lessons but now I am dancing almost 20 hours a week plus school and I don't have time for lessons. So far I have been finding and playing pieces on my own but I am wondering if there are any good books or something to get.

Hi, I have found a couple of books to be particularly useful - The Practice Revolution (see Amazon.com and the free online book Fundamentals of Piano Practice see
https://www.pianofundamentals.com/
Hope this helps. Having a good foundation of HOW to practice and figure out pieces will go some way to making sure you're not reinforcing mistakes and bad technique.
Hope this helps,
Kylie
