Question about symbols on sheet music!

Could someone explain to me what the box beneath the treble clef means? and the..'s' throughout the piece? lol

Looks like a Data problem to me.
Before it was printed.

I'm really not sure now. I've looked at it closely. Don't not much about "Pop" scores.  :D
