I would add that this composers works are well worth a little look. Some of the Sonatas are approaching Beethoven level, especially L'Invocation.

As with most forgotten composers, you have to sift through some dung before you find a diamond ring. His opii are littered with cheap variations a la Steibelt.

Actually, i like some cheap varations ;D

Yes, that's it.  Do you have the performance notes that go with it?  I'd be curious to read them.  These remind of the Kuhnau Biblical Sonatas.  Are these sort of a nod in that direction?

Andreas Staier recorded this piece, and, if I remember correctly, there were some good notes on this piece. I could be wrong though. You might be able to find them on the internet if they exist.
