Competitions...
on: April 09, 2004, 07:38:58 PM
Could anyone suggest competitions in Europe for me during 2004-2005? I live in Holland, but Germany, Belgium, France, Switzerland, Italy, Poland are all good. I will be 17 in June of 2004.

My repertoire includes:

Chopin's 1st Ballade, and the 10.3 and 10.4 Etudes,
Bach Prelude and Fugue (Book II f minor),
Beethoven's Sonata quasi una fantasia (op. 27 no.2 - i hate the name 'moonlight' - rellstab is an annoying person),
Schumann's 'des abends' and 'aufschwung' from Phantasiestuecken Op.12,
and H. Villa-Lobos 'A prole do bebe No.1'

... oh, and a bit of piazzolla....

any suggestion welcome...

(willing to learn new pieces for the competition....)

"Etude-Tableaux Op. 39 No. 3" - Rachmaninoff.
"Transcendentale Etude Feux Follets" - Liszt.
"Preludes Book I Le vent dans la plaine" - Debussy
"Intermezzo Op. 26 No. 4" - Schumman.
"Appasionata" - Beethoven.
"Impromptu D. 899 No. 2 in A Flat Minor" - Schubert

Aalsmeer..... ;).... I'm actually Israeli, and just live here in Holland, but it is a very nice place.... and it has given me the benefit of speaking so many languages... .I speak Hebrew from home, English from school, Dutch from the street, French from friends that I've made here and more languages that I have just picked up...... I seem to have a tendency towards languages.... Anyways.... thanks for the tip..
