That is extremely cool, Zheer. You are very lucky. What neighbourhood, and how did you find out?

I love Van Gogh. His Crows over Cornfields is the saddest painting in all the world. And that crazy psychedelic pool room scene. His exploding stars painting is a cliche but god it is a damn fine painting.

I also love all his early drawings. He was a master draughtsman; as good as Durer.

A few years ago I saw the famous sunflower painting in Philadelphia. There were many people in the museum that day  ::)  >:(  which makes it hard for me to focus on what I'm seeing but this painting seemed to look back at me! I've seen a lot of great paintings but this experience was unique; never before had a painting seemed alive, as if it were looking back at me and had a life of it's own. It's a hard thing to describe, hopefully I'm making sense.

Here it is...

He was one of the great geniuses, a true original. In music Chopin has a similar position, that of the creator who seems to come from nowhere already fully formed and unique, their work without precedent.

Although that cannot be true, in Vincent's case it's pretty close to that.

You know aside frome the very Famous sun flower paintings, it's really a shame that many of his other paintings are not given as much credit.

If you all like Vincent Van Gogh, check out Einojuhani Rautavaara's opera Vincent, or his Symphony No. 6 "Vincentiana". Just imagine what it would be like if someone did a literal transcription of some of his paintings for orchestra, and you get those pieces. They're extremely beautiful.

Well you know their are so many artists/painters that I've grown slightly suspicious of some who claim to know something that we don't. however with I ( and many others ) I supose have no objection in seeing the world through his eyes.

Found out his other paintings?, well I'd like to arrive at my own conclusion with most things, and I conclude that his paintings are truly sublim. i wont go into detail why, but it captures the hearts and mind of most people that appreciate art.

Just enjoy his art...Sometimes, not going into too much detail is better...
Although, if you're really curious, you might want to look at the influence of japonisme on his art and life...

So you are kurd? are you a muslim?
if so, eid mubarak aleikum! :D
No, I'm not Muslim but I had Muslim classmates before ^^

Do you understand Persian?

Seems like quite a number of Muslims are like that  ;D

Haha. My bad, I'm sorry.  ;)

Yes, of course. I love art. Unfortunately, I don't paint. Not at all. I'm more partial to cinematic and literary art... I do have a friend who paints though - he's still studying in uni, under the fine arts college.
I like visiting museums too.
You should check out museums in schools and university around your area. The quiet ambiance is nice plus you might find underrated artworks that need more attention.    :)
