That was also a beautiful movie.

A Bridge to Terabithia

Not corny or cheesy at all and while I might aspect many people to bash the poetry and immagination of the movie, it's not something I would expect a pianist (living in perpetual fantasy) to do.

Coming from a guy who thinks a fart joke is comedic gold, I take this as a compliment.  Also:

Going to see Beowulf this week.

I heard Beowulf was changed a lot, from the original story, so it probably isn't so great...

From reading the outline of the original, the movie version was a much more interesting storyline.

Plus, it's the kind of movie worth seeing even without audio or dialogue, it was f***ing GORGEOUS.

Women and the Chopin Competition: Breaking Barriers in Classical Music

The piano, a sleek monument of polished wood and ivory keys, holds a curious, often paradoxical, position in music history, especially for women. While offering a crucial outlet for female expression in societies where opportunities were often limited, it also became a stage for complex gender dynamics, sometimes subtle, sometimes stark. From drawing-room whispers in the 19th century to the thunderous applause of today’s concert halls, the story of women and the piano is a narrative woven with threads of remarkable progress and stubbornly persistent challenges.
