Rachmaninoff-Corelli Variations
on: November 13, 2007, 03:30:18 PM
Hello everyone,
I heard this piece played by Ashkenazy and Lugansky and I found it really gorgeous! Actually I am thinking to start playing this piece, since I love all Rachmaninov's works.
Have anyone played this piece? What kind of issues I might find while working on this piece?
Well, just tell me anything you know :)
thanks!

Helene Grimaud recorded this.  It is on her CD with the Rach second concerto.  I love how she plays the variations.  Highly recommended.

Jean-Yves Thibaudet also recorded it, along with the 4th concerto and the 2nd sonata.
