Teacher wanted near Oxford, UK
on: November 22, 2007, 10:13:53 AM
I've just been offered a job! Woo! This means I'll be moving near to Abingdon (just outside of Oxford).
I'm v eager to start having lessons again (my 3 months unemployment put these on hiatus). Does anyone know of a (fairly advanced) teacher near here? As for my standard, I haven't taken an exam in years, but I'm prob somewhere between the DipRSM and LRSM (ish). I'm v eager to continue improving.
I'll have a car, so I can travel a bit, unfortunately I'll be working 9-5, so they'd have to do unsociable hours.
Any suggestions?

If I were you, I might contact the pianostreet member known as e60m5.  I know his name in real life--PM me if you want that.  I won't post it here.

e60m5 is a law student at Oxford, and from his recordings here, he is seriously one of the best pianists I've ever  heard.  I've conversed with him in chat, and he has studied with some of the best piano teachers in the world.  Because he is a student, I'd imagine he could work with your schedule and such.  Or perhaps he could simply direct you to someone who teaches as a profession--that might actually be better.  Experienced teachers are the way to go.
