...Sorry, I don't like it.
It's furious, but it's sounds like someone is so mad, they just lost their mind.

Nope.
Bach - Partita No.2
Scriabin - Etude 8/12
Debussy - L'isle Joyeuse
Liszt - Un Sospiro

I have a special place in my heart for crazy dissonant works.

If the fury/dissonance works in context, I also love it. But, if its like this and makes no sense really, then I don't really like it. For that reason, Messiaen will always be better than Finnissy (there are many more reasons, of course).

Well, I suppose you are right. I thought that sample was the entire piece. I would like to hear the rest of it to make a good judgment on the piece.

Berio Rounds?

Okay, it's not Berio.

But what is it? It sounds so familiar to my ears... ::)

It's the end of Wound (part of Trinity) from George Flynn. I presume it's from the new Fredrik Ullen disc (I haven't heard it yet).

Nope.

From the text of the recording by George Flynn himself, George Flynn writes about this passage:
Quote
After a brief serene pause that recalls the opening of Wound, this final outcry smashes the evolving musical considerations within Wound.

That's probably how people felt when walking into the gas chamber of a concentration camp.
Thanks, now i know.  ::)

I listened to the Flynn album with Ullén, but I didn't remember that part. It's certainly more organized and coherent than Finnissy, so I like it more.
