The four memories of the pianist

Hi eveybody,

I read recently an article about the four memories of the pianist:

- visual
- auditive
- kinesthesic
- conceptual

I think the first three ones are more or less "natural" and they develop while repeating a piece (I might be wrong and/or there might be exercices to develop them... ?).

The conceptual one concerns, I guess, the harmonic structure of a piece.

So, I would like to make progess on that part too... I know a little bit about relationships between the degrees of a scale but not too much ! How/where could I find a good explanation of all that ? Maybe a book dealing with musical analysis... ?

I would be real happy to have some advices from you guys !

These are just aspects of every music performance.

Music is not only sound - there are visual, kinesthetic and conceptional components in every music. This is often forgotten if we think, what comes out of the speakers is the music and everything else doesn't matter. It does matter!

Okay, I can't tell you anything about memory. I'm not able to memorize music.
