I try to use it, in hopes that others will join.  I hope that others take this step as well so that it becomes more active and engaging.

If I'm bored and have time to spare, i.e no assignment due for school.
Also if there are 2 or more people in the chat I try and make time to go in there. Sometimes I even go in if there is only one person in there.

I'm there quite often... I usually enter even if nobody is there, in hope someone else would enter then. So people should take a look in the chat even if there's only one person there I think :)
