Useful tool for learning a song
on: November 29, 2007, 06:34:20 AM
I came across this the other day, and it seems like a useful way to help practice a song, especially for someone like me who has a hard time reading sheet music quickly.

Now come on, there's no need for such elitism.

there is a difference between having standards and being elitist

I'm sorry, but if I didn't tell you, someone else was going to, and they probably would've added scathing comments.

I don't have a problem with people using words like 'advice' 'phrasing' 'trying' 'app' 'application' or 'cool'

but the song/piece confusion is something that people don't get away with. Most musicians will correct you on that.

And the race to be the most anal pedant of them all continues.

Shouldn't you be practicing?

Piece.

Maybe he meant song :)
Song is not wrong it just means something else, something else which can be played on the piano anyway and that pianists play too.

Cool program useful for both pieces and songs :)

By the way, this site now has audio!  It will actually play the notes you enter.

And now you can import midi files and extract the sheet music out of them.
