I see re: pianistimo - in the audition room thread - but there is no message there by that title.  And, I don't recall starting one.  Is there now also another pianistimo AND pianissimo?  The world is so complex.  I feel like some kind of tortoise shell turtle just trying to make my way and getting these boulders tossed in front of me.

Hello,

There can not be more than 1 pianistimo. There is a pianissimo though.
Thank you and Goodnight.

Thanks.  Oh.  I think I know what happened.  When a thread is started with only a _ ... then the responders get put in the Re: category?  Interesting.  You know, a whole novel could be written about this PF site.

btw, I realize now that pianissimo spells his/her name pianisimmo.

Well, as a matter of fact - I did join a writer's group.  They promise that within a year (or something like that) you'll get something published if your work is worthy to work on.  So, i dutifully filled out the questionnaire with the three requested essays.  My main one was entitled 'Pianist Breaks a Leg.'  I hope it flies.  Must wait one or two weeks for the responses to get back to me.

I'm sure it's very good.  8)

But, please don't be fooled into parting with any cash to get it published. There are lots of scams to get your money.  :'(
Thank you and Goodnight.

'Pianist Breaks a Leg.'  I hope it flies.
Over here in UK, the expression "break a leg" means "good luck". That said, the idea that a leg, broken or otherwise, should fly might mean one of two things - either (a) that it has become detached from the body to which it was once attached or (b) that some kind of dancing is involved; perish the thought in either case!

You're the one that mentioned the pole here; please re-read my post to find that I didn't do so...

btw, I realize now that pianissimo spells his/her name pianisimmo.

And has always done so.

It has just taken a few months for you to realise this whilst the other 16000 members managed it a while back.

Ah hah!

My first, real-time exposure to the legendary "pianistimo."  You've been, until now, only a slowly receding tide of digitalized discourses on a bewildering variety of topics.

Viewing your older posts has been a fascinating form of psychological archeology.

You've suffered the slings and arrows of outraged forum indignation.  You've wandered in the non-virtual wilderness of Middle America for forty days and forty nights.

"She is not here," they cried.  "She is risen," some thought.

But she has indeed returned.

My first Piano Street miracle.

Sooo...general disarray - we finally meet.  You in the bahamas and me in PA.  PA is nothing like the bahamas excepting occasional flooding.  All the rivers are quite high right now.  Isn't that area ripe for winter storms now?  I hope your harbor is safe from those strange phenomenon that happen this time of year.  And, that you are enjoying your tutoring.  Do you also teach those 'younguns' piano lessons?  That's great that you have a digital keyboard with you (but how do you keep it from getting wet?).  I suppose that is easy if a yacht has a cabin.  But, what about occasional storms and leaks.  Do you put it into a trash bag of sorts?  Then, what if someone thinks it's trash and throws it out.  Then, what do you do?  or uses it for a lifevest and sinks?

Yes, indeed, pianistimo.  We meet at last.  You are indeed a legend in your own time and I wish you the best in your new writing endeavor.

We've got snug dockage here and the winter storms are nothing like the summer ones.  So, all is well and thanks for asking.

The kids get piano lessons, as well.  They're wonderful to teach.

Under the watchful eye of a chronologically displaced 19th century pianist/composer in his most self-confessedly insane frame of mind...

Ah, well...
