Gender and age?
on: December 06, 2007, 09:27:48 AM
For some reason I have the generic impression that most forum memebers here are males.

I'm probably right though.

The average age Im not quite sure?

I'm 26 and a male.

It's a proven fact that females don't exist on the internet.

No, I will not edit this post.

So you've managed to be on this forum for a while without ever having heard of pianistimo, then? Quite an achievement is that!

There are others here, too (at least one of whom has already responded).

Since I apparently don't exist, I decline to tell you how old I am... hmm, if I don't exist, does that mean I don't have to go to work tomorrow? Interesting philosophical point...

More males as I suspected. Average age is older then I expected as well. I remember a previous thread like this being a little younger. Early teens etc.

Well. Nice to know a bit more about you guys, and girls.

Why do blokes and the few ladies think there are so many males here and so few females?

Any takers with a hypthesis?

I didn't think that interest internet forums were gender specific or appeal more to men then women?

According to a Myspace Tech Team presentation: (April 2007)
Myspace185 Million Registered Users
50.2% Female / 49.8% Male
Facebook is supposedly 2/3 females.

So you're right...there are no females on the internet.

Maybe females have better things to do. Like go shopping!

Myself, I am a non-existent 14 year old. ;)

I said that females don't exist on the internet, not in life (try and interpret that statement). Makes a huge difference.

Well seeing as I am posting on the internet, I am not female, because females don't exist where I am at the moment.

Ok, I've confused myself now...

A few weeks ago I would have said, this forum can't go into deeper philosophical terms, but now I realized that I was wrong. And I'm confused too.
