Fat Blokes Trousers
on: December 14, 2007, 09:42:06 PM
Why do some fat blokes wear their trousers round their belly? (like Humpty Dumpty).  ::)

And others wear them lower and have their belly flopping over the top.  :P

What are the pros and cons of the two methods of trouser wearing.  ???
If God really exists, then why haven't I got more fingers?

I really have no idea in either case but I am nevertheless minded to ask that "if God really exists, then why haven't you got more trousers?"

But I have no desire for more trousers.  ::)

This is not about quantity.  :-X
It's a question about fashion.  ;D

Not even shortyshort ones? OK, then...

Is it? You have contrasted "fat blokes" who "wear their trousers round their belly? (like Humpty Dumpty) with "others" who "wear them lower and have their belly flopping over the top"; if that's part of a question that is "about fashion", I'm amazed, since it seems light years away from anything remotely connected with the catwalks of Milan, Paris, London and New York...

P.S. Fashion is not about stick-insects wearing some junkies creations.

There's undoubtedly a valid argument that it oughtn't to be so, but if indeed it isn't that, then what is it? (and, whilst there should be an apostrophe between "junkie" and "s", I seem to have failed to commit a single typo in this post, for which I apologise)...

I've been told that it is what everybody is wearing.  8)

But not everyone is a "fat bloke" in the first place; even I, who could admittedly do with losing a kilo or three, do not fit into that category although I do fit easily into my trousers without (mercifully) having to wear them either "round (my) belly...(like Humpty Dumpty) or "lower and (having my) belly flopping over the top" (perish the thought in either case) - so I think that your source may be deceiving you...

You will.  :P
"I will" what?...

Possibly being said fat bloke, i personally use the over hang method.

Using "humpty" style requires a longer belt and is more prone to slip.

Whatever gave you that idea?

i personally use the over hang method.
Then maybe you could consider consuming a little less beer in order that this might result in your being less "hung over" in two senses...

I see I won my mental bet that this thread would not survive without a comment on the missing apostrophe in the title. How .. predictable.

What are the pros and cons of the two methods of trouser wearing.  ???

Am no fashion expert, but the best thing to do if one has a large belly is to wear a T shirt or shirt or jumper hanging-out and over the trouser belt. As a bonus one could also wear long jacket, this will give the illusion of thiness. However since being thin is within everones grasp,it does puzzle me why so many  people are so over weight.

Well, of course I do, but I wasn't addressing myself - I was addressing you.

The childishness now seems to be entirely yours and the contributions that I have made to this thread are already there to be read...

If not, go and pick at someones elses thread, and leave mine alone.  :-X
Oh, so this thread is "yours", is it? I realise that you initiated it, of course, but I would have assumed that you'd expect others to contribute to it without being so proprietorial about it as you seem now to be.

What might have been somewhat less predictable, however, is the sheer number of posts that were submitted before this was even mentioned; ah, well - who cares? Credit where credit's due (current crunches notwithstanding); at least there weren't any "trouser's"...

Who cares who knows whether you "left it there" (or, more properly, omitted it) for anyone to "find"? - after all, it didn't exactly take a whole lot of "finding"...

I must admit I was lucky to have lasted a few posts before my ridicule began.  :P :'(

Yes, I do have some hazy recollection of some such thing but had not heard that he is actually banned as such at the present time and, indeed, his name in the membership list would appear to suggest that he remains a member.
