Stenhammar to Viking and others
on: December 16, 2007, 06:15:42 PM
Hello everyone,
I just read that Viking didn't know the second Stenhammar Concerto (baaaaad Viking...
I love both Stenhammar's concertos and have worked for many years to promote them, so I put up a live performance of the 3rd and 4th movements from a few years ago on my myspace page. Feel free to download, but it seems one cannot do it without a myspace login. Who the conductor is I cannot say out loud, since I haven't really asked him about putting it up, but he is Finnish, and has composed a very hard solo piece...
If anyone is looking for a piano concerto to study, I would recommend this...it's also refreshing to play something that has not been played a million times, it gives you more of a challenge to use your imagination.

I loved this recording! It's definitely the best I've heard of this concerto. Will it be released on disk?
