What did you do to practice arps when you were still a beginner? And what exactly is an arpeggio, can it be any 3 notes repeated up the piano, like C E G C E G C E G with the same hand?

1.  Repeated them over and over
2. An arpeggio is the sounding of the tones of a chord in rapid succession rather than simultaneously,  so not really,  and you can do them sometimes with two hands
