Hello everyone. I dont know these composers. In a discussion, their names came up. Can anyone refer me to some piano pieces I can listen to? Thank you.

Scarlatti composed wonderful sonatas , totally baroque unlike sounding very romantic.

. I can recommend you the horowitz recording of them, they are fabulous .


My favorites are the  "The Cat Fugue" K30  K27 and K54.


Michelangeli recorded K27 but I dont really like his interpretation of it. He is too fast imo.

here's my favorite piece of Alkan : "Song of the Mad Woman on the Seashore" from his 24 Preludes - - You really see a crazy woman next to the see...very mysterious ! !
