Saw him live.  He filled in for some performer who canceled a concert at the 2007 MTNA convention.  The concert ended with the 4th Ballade.  Not bad for a 14 yr old boy.

I vaguely remember hearing somewhere that he plays all 48 of the WTC.
Made a Liszt. Need new Handel's for Soler panel & Alkan foil. Will Faure Stein on the way to pick up Mendels' sohn. Josquin get Wolfgangs Schu with Clara. Gone Chopin, I'll be Bach

I found his recording of Bach's WTC book 2 at a local second hand store. He was 12 when he recorded it.

Awhile back I came across that same video of Kit Armstrong playing Liszt's "La Leggierezza" at 8 and was astounded!  When I started studying at 8, my first pieces were Grade 1 ("The Busy Turtle" comes to mind) resembling five finger exercises, but much easier.  I wish I could have been born with such musical talent and capabilities.  He's extremely gifted, that's for sure.

Impressive.

I wonder how he thinks, how he started, all that.  Is piano the only thing he does? I wonder.

And he does that in less than 8 years?  Could anyone do that if the conditions were right?  Has that kid studied theory and ear training?

Just makes me wonder.

He is one of the more phenomenal prodigies around. He's also very talented in math and physics apparently. Man after my own heart.  ;D
