I couldn't sleep well for 18 months. The insomnia was killing me--I couldn't remember anything or pay attention to anything. I made an appointment with a psychologist. He helped me see what was causing the sleeplessness and eliminate that from my life. I freely told people how I overcame the insomnia. But I was shocked at some of the negative reactions--there is something of a stigma about it, especially among the older generation.Personally I think it's stupid to judge people for that. Many people in my situation would have turned to drugs or alcohol, but instead I sought the help of a trained professional. I think that was the smartest choice. I respect people who seek counsel, because it shows they're really serious about solving their problem, while most other people would just cover it up or deal with it through addictions.
I am always seeing a shrink, because i am slightly spasticated.£40 an hour she charges, which is not bad.Thal
! I was just asking if you ever went to therapy or thought of doing so? and if you did, would you tell other people that you are doing psychotherapy?
And the talking helps against the spastication...? ^_^
Yes
Slightly less dangerous possibly
Agreed. BTW can I ask you what was the cause of the Insomnia?
I think a certain member by the username of Mozartian needs to go to psychotherapy for obvious reasons.
Bahahahahahaha!!!She doesn't come here anymore in case you missed it. She stormed off in a huff quite some time ago. I do miss her dark green letters in the chat room though.
