Chopin
on: January 14, 2008, 02:29:12 AM
Checked out the list here and can't seem to find the following, which I need for a student.
Polonaise without opus number G minor, Bflat major A flat major. Polonaise G#minor op. post., Bflat minor op. post; and G flat major op. post.
Trois Nouvelle Etudes Op. posthmous.
These are pieces in a Chopin competition I'm considering sending my students in, but can't find the music yet!
I know it's quite a bit, but any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Shouldn't you already have the music?  And do not music stores not exist in prrelatively close oximation to your place of habitation? ???

I do have most of the music, but not the ones without opus numbers.  Have checked the music stores already and they don't have them either.  Where I live we have limited access to music, with only 2 major music shops selling books. I have enough material to cover, but was just curious to what the others are like.

My 1964 Paderewski Edition (published by the Chopin Institute, Warsaw) has all the Polonaises you listed - the Trois Polonaises Op 71, Nos 1,2,3 and the Opus Posth. Nos. 11,12,13,14,15,16. I'd share but it's too much to scan plus the edition is oversized (slightly larger than my scanner).

Also the Henle Urtext has all the above.  It lists the last 6 as kk IIa,#1; kk IVa,#1; kk IVa,#2; kk IVa,#3; kk IVa,#5; and kkVIa,#8

Both are available from the Sheetmusicplus website - Paderewski $48.95, Henle $32.95.
