This isn't going to turn out like the 'Swedes' thread is it?

Though most of that was entirely my fault...

I don't know nothing about the swedes thread...   :)
Besides, it's funny to find people of your nationality in a place like this. We might have friends in common, who knows? ;)

I'm just curious if this question was just an inquiry into how many more Portuguese people there are on this forum or did Lebenssturme really want to know of there are "too many" of them? ::)

thalbergmad: are you really portuguese?

Really, I think this is not a complicated post... I made a simple question  :'(
Is there any war between people around here that I haven't notice?  8) Or there are some kind of questions that are not allowed here? huh...

Yes there are restrictions, but your question was fine. Us here on the forum just have strange senses of humour :D

otorrinolaringologista. This is the correct one :) And no, this is not greek :) I think this is the longest portuguese word. Maybe I'm wrong... who cares :)

so, its very similar to the greek term and means otorhinolaryngologist or ear, nose and throat doctor [abbr.: ENT doctor], as the dictionary says.
Similarity to english is also apparent.

Hi!

Otorrinolaringologista is a doctor specialized in hears and throat diseases.

And IT IS NOT the longest portuguese word. It is pneumoultramicroscopicosilicovulcanotico, or something like this, and it means a disease caused by vulcano gases.

Um bocadinho de orgulho nacional não nos fica nada mal, se bem que demais já é mania.

I knew I might be wrong about the longest portuguese word.

As minhas desculpas! (sorry!)

Nunca se colocou a hipotese do orgulho nacional, apenas encontrar pessoal portugues, com quem pudessemos ter amigos em comum. Apenas isso :)

Espero concluir a minha licenciatura, daqui a três anos, uma vez que ando no 12o ano ;), na suíça... É um óptimo país para a área em que estou - física - e, além disso, tenho lá grande parte da minha família...
