Right now you are playing my game, which you have admitted you can not win.  Yet you continue?  And along the way, you attempt to speak down towards me for "trolling" when I'm not even trolling at all, and you are.  Right now.  Your next response, unless it is either a concession or an apology, will be trolling.  I personally suggest a concession, because we both know trolls refuse to apologize so that's out of the question.  And everyone here knows you ARE going to respond.  It is in the nature of a troll not to be able to tell when s/he is defeated.

I'm wondering if anybody here really feels for you in this situation, or if anyone cares at all. I know you're hoping so. Haven't you gone through like 2-3 other usernames on this forum (Soliloquy, some other smug Xenakis-related name)? I distinctly remember nobody liking you in any of your previous garbs. This new one probably won't garner you any respect either. I may get out of line with people on here sometimes, but you seem to have trouble ever getting in line with people. You just want everyone to know how smart you are. Candy-coating your slimy attitude as simply being "assertive manner" and trying to skewer me isn't going to help you any. Nobody here cares much for me or against me, and I'm fine with that. I'm pretty sure almost everyone here hates you a lot more.

You forgot to quote this part of my post:

I'm not trolling anybody, with the possible exception of Kieth Jarrett :)  I am simply sharing my opinion in an assertive manner (and God forbid anyone but you should have an opinion, much less the stomach to be verbal about it), and it happens to be in opposition of your own opinion.  You have then proceeded to harass me and call me and/or liken me to, and I shall list:

Nazi
Closet-Case
Pretentious
Worthless
Annoying
Creep
Failure
Pedantic
Egomaniacal
incapable
insane
unsuccessful
Worm
stupid
and a four year old who shits in the tub (my personal favorite)

And..... do you really think the thought of what other people think of this little spat really crossed my mind?  If so you are only solidifying how out of your league you are.  Also, I thought you were going to bed.  Couldn't sleep knowing I might be posting my righteousness (with the emphasis on "right") and making you look foolish... again?  If I cared how people thought of me I would obviously be doing something different, and the fact that what other people think is guiding you to this complete and utter illogic and inability to say anything coherent, and not be able to respond to my arguments with anything other than pre-school insults, shows that you are not arguing with me (I have yet to see you make an argument, btw, in response to ANYTHING I've said so far on either thread, which should hint to you how wrong you are and how right I am) but you are arguing with some sort of psyche-manifested character, that is indeed you, this very moment.  Also, how can I be the things you've called me if I cared what other people thought of me?  But, just to humor you, here's an entire thread (with the possible exception of "pies") of people happy to see me back:

https://www.pianostreet.com/smf/index.php/topic,28723.0.html

(you also might want to read that thread- it pertains to you, tangentially)

For your viewing pleasure.  I feel that if you were to disappear for an extended period of time, nobody would remember who you are.  I know I wouldn't.  You think you're effecting me somehow; you're just another stupid kid trying to get a rise out of futily attempting to out-arguing me; been there, done that, haven't lost yet, will tell you if it happens.  If you pull it off then perhaps I would remember you, but so far you're just backsliding with each post to a more feral and pathetic sort of attempt at e-hurting me (certainly the most intense type of hurt, the internet hurt), like an injured dog trapped in your corner of complete and utter self-destruction.

PS- thanks for calling me smart =)  I'll add it to the list.

*continues to manipulate yet another idiot into an aggressive, brainless animal*  <--- I'm telling you I'm manipulating you into saying what I want you to say, and you'll still do it.  That's how much faith I have in the gigantic void between my intellect and yours.

PPS- I don't see anyone coming to YOUR aid either.

To PS: You are smart and somewhat well-spoken, but that doesn't mean much in the overall context of this situation. The fact that your arguments seemed hard-wired and time-tested simply tells me that you're a big loser and that I'm out of my league (since I've not been able to spend as much time as you becoming a huge loser on this forum).

PPS: When did I ask for anyone's aid? Others will have no trouble finding their own ways to think you're insufferable and decide to stop listening to you.

Bottom line: You win, but you're the only one of us who ever thought it was a game.

I know I win.  And let me tell you why.  Because I thought it was a game.  You thought you were challenging enough for me to take it seriously, and this is how you lose.

This is convenient, though, because I was just about to go to bed!  Things are going my way tonight! :-*

Indutrial, ALL your last posts were completly empty in argument or in value. I mean you're basically insulting sly because you can't say anything against anything he said ! How low of you of even daring to give such poor answers. I mean, congratulations Sly to have been able to continue arguing with such weak answers, I have to admit such mindless and empty insults have so little material that they are consequently hard to refute by something other than mindless insults! Sly 5 indutrial 0. Indutrial is the one looking like an adolescent in quest of trolling now.

Was I the one arguing with any of you two? You obviously do not know what to say, man. I was not even arguing with you two, I was just pointing out your lack of argumentative value, wich can be easily proven by simply reading all your last posts. Grats on this one, you're completly lost.

Yeah, but what has Xenakis done to woo the latino vote ahead of the Texas primary?

Glad to know I've made such an impression as to be remembered by your inferior brain, in adoration of my current skills I have achieved in the recent years.  Oh, and let me know where I can hear you play?  oh.... you can't?

Not really.  I just remember the desperation and puppy-dog tactics.  And if I don't play the piano then why did you so vehemently seek out my help and approval? :-*

Sounds inconsistent.  Also, I am unaware of any skills you have whatsoever; not that I am putting down whatever recordings you have out there.  I have simply never heard them, and thus do not have any "adoration" for you in any way.  It is possible I have heard one, but it obviously did not impress me enough to even remember hearing it, much less remembering I didn't like it; sounds as though it was probably as boring and pointless as your posts in this thread thus far.

Would it be possible to create a new forum area for personal exchanges. I don't mind differences of opinion as long as they stay on topic in the spirit of debate but this thread has gotten way out of line. I click on a thread that interests me in the hopes of being enlightened only to find this vitriolic nonsense taking place between some of the same people. Please consider taking this "outside" so to speak and don't subject us this.

Maybe the penguin is not so much gay as he is chemically imbalanced.

However, I can assure you that he has provided some personal recordings already.  You may ask what has allowed it to perform octaves with such speed- the real secret is that this unique specimen has an intact notochord in the adult, providing its dorsal hollow nervous system unusual support.

Cheers,

Daniel

Keith Jarrett explores many styles...some of you may be unaware of how creative he can get. Some of his earlier stuff was very repetitive and often boring, but check out this piece from his Tokyo Solo in 2002:
