Could someone name this piece?
on: February 10, 2008, 12:44:42 PM
Hello I have a recording of a beautifull piece wich I, sadly,  is unable to name. I am uploading it here to gather some help from you guys:

https://www.sendspace.com/file/khdnqe

Is sounds very beautifull to me, like some kind of mixture between spanish and baroque music. Basicly I am not even able to name the period in wich is was composed. Maybe it is Mompou? Or maybe even something like Soler!

Any help would be great!

Sounds like an edited transcription of an edited Bach transcription of a Vivaldi piece. :P

I don't wanna make a new thread so I hope it's OK if I'm writing my question here?
I'm also looking for a song - it is used in this video:

(from 00:18 till the end)

Hope someone could help me. It's a really beautiful piece.

Hi - I think the piece here is "Comptine d'un autre été - L'après-midi" from Yann Tiersen.
Also part of the soundtrack from the movie "Amélie".
Enjoy!

Poems of Ecstasy – Scriabin’s Complete Piano Works Now on Piano Street

The great early 20th-century composer Alexander Scriabin left us 74 published opuses, and several unpublished manuscripts, mainly from his teenage years – when he would never go to bed without first putting a copy of Chopin’s music under his pillow. All of these scores (220 pieces in total) can now be found on Piano Street’s Scriabin page. Read more
