The Quiet Revolutionary of the Piano – Fauré’s Complete Piano Works Now on Piano Street

In the pantheon of French music, Gabriel Fauré (1845–1924) often seems a paradox—an innovator cloaked in restraint, a Romantic by birth who shaped the contours of modern French music with quiet insistence. Piano Street now provides sheet music for his complete piano works: a body of music that resists spectacle, even as it brims with invention and brilliance. Read more

In need of music that interests me!

I'm around Grade 5 piano. Not took the exam yet, but I'm preparing.

Now, the one book I've ever loved is J.F.F.Burgmuller - 25 Easy and Progressive Studies OP.100. Ive since played things like Velocity and L'orage from the 18 studies book, but this is still my favourite.

Ive also recently like Mozart's Andante in B Flat, K.15ii and Martha Mier's Jackson Street Blues, both from the 07-08 edition of the ABRSM Grade 5 book.

Bearing this in mind, where should I go now? What should I play? PReferably, do you have any PDF's I could download. Ive been looking through the forums, trying to scavenge some, but I want something similar to this, that is nice and easy to play.

The 25 studies book ranges from grade 2-5, and they are nice pieces. The 18 studies ranges from 5-8. I believe Velocity to be 6, and L'orage to be around 6. There are a few 7's and 8's which I find a bugger to play, so I would prefer something of a similar, EASY level.

kthanks, bi
