Bennett - Bache
on: February 20, 2008, 02:46:56 PM
I just got the 43rd volume of the romantic piano concerto, Bennett and Bache.  Does anyone have the scores to these pieces?

Bennett - Piano concerto no. 4 Op. 19 / Caprice op. 22
Bache - Piano concerto op. 18

Thanks!

Yes, but i would have my nuts cut off if i posted them.

They can be obtained at absurd expense via the Royal Acadamy of Music.

The Bache is only in manuscript as well.

I have in fact given you false info here as I got all of the Bennet Concerto's from Cambridge University Library and not R.A.M. It was the Melcer 1 i got from the R.A.M.

So does that mean you're willing to share the Bennett?  I have the Paderewski violin sonata if you'd like it and don't have it.

When ordering from a large library like Cambridge, you have to sign a copyright agreement and confirm in writing that the score is for study purposes only.

I don't wish to appear unhelpful and whilst i have many faults as a human being, i don't like to break my word.

The 4th Bennett Concerto is by far his most popular and I would have thought that a lot of libraries would have it. Most offer a reasonably cheap photocopy service.
