What I don't understand about questions like this is, why not check the music out from a library (or buy/download it) sight-read through it, make a note of the most difficult passages and decide for yourself - you're the only one who can know if it's "too difficult" for you. Also, when people say things like it's not difficult, I play it - doesn't mean a thing considering all the levels of competency that could entail. My gut feeling is that this piece is sufficiently advanced enough that if you have to ask in a forum like this about your ability to play it, then it's possible you're not quite ready. That doesn't mean you can't begin to familiarize yourself with it for later development.

I do understand why people ask about a piece if it is too difficult as I wished I had inside information on this piece before I started it.
First-Petroushka is not sightreadalbe. A considerable amount of work needs to be done before one can even discern if the piece is "too challenging". I was worried before i started this piece that I would not be able to master it.
The things in this piece that LOOK hard are actually not the most difficult things. THe l.h. trill for example can be easily cheated- as the effect is more importnat than the actual notes. Pollini, Gilels, Weissenberg, Ioudenitch, the list goes on-they ALL CHEAT.
This piece is perfectly playable with rearrangements and GOOD FINGERING. The first two pages are the most difficult things in the whole piece. Next is the l.h. runs in the first mvmt. Next is the coachmen's dance in the third mvmt. If you are seriously learning tis piece, I can write you more about specific difficulties.
Good luck!
