Need a pick-me-up? Just look to the sky

I am impressed.  So, so very impressed.

High on the funny factor.

High on the dork factor.

High in creativity.

And, it actually captures the spirit very well I think.

Not perfect, for sure, but the amount of work this stuff must have taken.  If it's just a homemade thing, I'm very impressed.  If it's commercial, still good, but not as amazing.

I see there are six.  More fun.

I haven't this hard in a long time.  Very funny.  High quality internet shhhtuff.

I'm guessing it's a sequencer.  It's all his voice.  Then him with a green screen.  But man... lot of work.  Consistent style throughout.

We'll see if it lasts after one viewing.

They're not short either.  Highly amusing.  Or I'm working too much.

I think it's just the novelty of hearing words and the humor.  And I think the music is really what holds it all together.  That's the base of course, but probably also the character I'm picking up on.

If you liked the superman, while your on the site, check out his Batman theme video.
Durch alle Töne tönet
Im bunten Erdentraum
Ein leiser Ton gezogen
Für den, der heimlich lauschet.

A little more.  I'm trying to do a crappier job at things actually.  Not necessarily a bad philosophy actually.

I think it's the words on this "arrangement."  Just enough to capture my attention after I've heard the theme several times.  The words are new.  I listened to some other version, just music versions, too.  I noticed I pay more attention to the tone colors.  Interesting.  The words are just easily accessible I guess.  Not much effort.  Listening for musical elements beyond what you normally take in requires a lot more effort.

I do think it's a really good example of getting the point across without having to have things technically perfect.  There are plenty of things to pick apart technically, but if it didn't have that something to it -- the expression, the character -- it wouldn't be as good even if it were technically perfect.

The nonverbal stuff I find very interesting.  Face and body movements.  Some of it really doesn't fit the superman image, but...  I was thinking this might be an amusing source of good conducting gestures.  Corny or not, it's still getting the point across.  Like wearing a rubber ripped chest body suit.  I think that could be a useful addition for any conductor.  Well, maybe not a female conductor.  But some of the basic movements.  Simple, but effective.

Pictures in the background too to some extent.  Getting the point across immediately.  I'm thinking you can't separate the video from the audio though.  I don't think it would have the same impact.

I wonder what this guy would like as a conductor.  Probably fun to play for.  I think he would have extra edge -- from the body movements -- to get people to play out more.
