Really, some people just throw away newly-bought phones once they see one with more features (of which some nobody will use at all). How imortant are these 'gimmicks' to people anyway?

Not at all.
If my phone works as a phone, then I am happy.
My mobile is about 6 yrs. old. It is only a phone anyway.
I will get a new one when this one dies.
If God really exists, then why haven't I got more fingers?

Well Bluetooth and Camera are handy, but I could definitely live without them.

I pretty much only use my phone for calling and texting, but Camera allows me to take quick photos,a nd Bluetooth allows me to get them to my computer, good backgrounds from my computer, and good ringtones from my computer.

The others, I don't really use that much. I have a phone thats about 3 years old, handed down from my mum, and I can't afford a new one. When she gets a new one, I get her old one. It works...

With all these gimmicks, i am sure that someone will eventually develop a phone that you cannot make calls from.

It would have so many features, that making calls was simply forgotten.

I've yet to encounter one that you can play Opus Clavicembalisticum on...

When Practice Stagnates – Breaking the Performance Ceiling: Robotic Training for Pianists

“Practice makes perfect” is a common mantra for any pianist, but we all know it’s an oversimplification. While practice often leads to improvement, true perfection is elusive. But according to recent research, a robotic exoskeleton hand could help pianists improve their speed of performing difficult pianistic patterns, by overcoming the well-known “ceiling effect”.
