The Old Castle

I am currently studying this piece, and my piano teacher has asked me to find a copy of the picture that it was written about, among other things.

I have most of the other things, but I havn't been able to find a picture.
If anyone knows the location of one, or has a picture of it, I would really appreciate if if you could help.

I would bet wikipedia has links to the pictures.

Yeah, them.

I tried Wiki and it didn't really define which pictures were which. It also said that there aren't records of some of them.

I'm hoping mum will let me go to the State Library later this week, so I should be able to have a look there.

What about googling that artists name?  I don't remember who the artist was.  Surely someone has a Mussorgsky site out there with pictures.

Unfortunately  "Il Vecchio Castello" is one of those. The painting is described in von Riesemann's biography of Mussorgsky as "an old tower of the Middle Ages, before which a minstrel sings his song..."

My computer is currently being slow, so I'll have to look at the pictures at school tomorrow, or when my computer stops dying.

The bit about the castle being medieval certainly helps a lot, as from there I can get a good visualisation of what it may have looked like.
