My laptop died tonight

Was doing a recording tonight.  When I restarted it !@#$!#@$ cannot detect drive C. 

Made a Liszt. Need new Handel's for Soler panel & Alkan foil. Will Faure Stein on the way to pick up Mendels' sohn. Josquin get Wolfgangs Schu with Clara. Gone Chopin, I'll be Bach

I don't trust computers, esp for recording.  I've heard computers are for the business world and music files are a lot larger than what they were designed for.

I'm guessing you have a PC too?  I hear Mac is better for working with audio.  More stable.
