April Fools Day
on: March 31, 2008, 09:01:14 PM
Does anyone have any good (but harmless) April Fools pranks? And tell what your victim's reaction was when you pulled one on them.

Last year I pulled one on my dad. His expression was priceless. That morning I made  some very RED strawberry jello and put it in a cup. I stuck a straw in there and put it in the fridge to set. So that afternoon I brought it to him and told him it was a new beverage that I made that I wanted him to try. As I walked toward him I tripped on purpose and made it look like it was going to spill all over him. You should have seen his face.
When you wait for love, it feels like forever. But it's all worth it in the end.

I think there's a thread like this from previous years.

Change the time on their clocks. :)  Set them an hour ahead.  It's a nice feeling to actually gain an hour like that.

I saw a precious one when I was practice teaching.  On April 1, when it was time to line up and go home, every student lined up backwards and walked out backward.  The teacher's face was priceless.

When I was a teenager and had just come home after my day at school, my mother informed me that a letter had arrived for me. "Where is it?", I asked. "In the fridge" came the answer. Although I found that a little strange, I quickly imagined simple explanations, e.g., she had the letter in her hand while getting something in the fridge, but needed both hands to get something out, so she laid the letter down in the fridge, and then forgot about it. Anyway in my excitement I started searching for the letter inside the fridge. After searching behind jars, packets of cheese, etc., I still couldn't find it, but my mother, who was observing me closely, just berated me how I am hopeless at finding things in the fridge. After a few more frustrating minutes of searching, she cries out gleefully, "April Fool!".

I love it! I've gotta try that one out one day.

My old maths teacher is cooler than yours...he gave a kid a fake detention slip because the kid's mum had played a joke on him by telling him that it was Wednesday instead of Tuesday. The guy brought all of his books for Wednesday's subjects to school, and so didn't have his maths book.
