still very much a work in progress (as evidenced by some of the embarrassing slips at the end and the lack of the recapitulation), and the sound quality and piano aren't great either, but i felt like posting something, and you should at least get the general idea. any comments/suggestions will be gratefully received. and anyone who isn't familiar with this concerto needs to check it out, it's a great, great piece, my favourite of the lot!

Hi duck,

Really nice start with this!   ;D  I played K449 with Chamber Orchestra of Florida 3 years ago, and I agree, it's a wonderful piece.

True, it's hard to hear some of your interp with the recording quality, but you're doing great so far.  I'm thinking you need to get it a little faster overall, and the arpeggios, particularly in the development section, need more flow and smoothness--and always with minimum pedaling.  (Your clarity is good!)

Keep in mind this is a turbulent little movement, and has to move.  I like the way you open with those strong chords.

The cadenza sounds good--just refining and a little faster tempo.

Don't you love the finale?
All the best,
Teresa
