Some questions about finger positions
on: April 06, 2008, 02:18:04 PM
While playing scales, should unused fingers rest on other keys, or can they stay in air? If they should, then which keys should they rest on? They just touch the keyboard anywhere nearby, or they must be on some keys that are specific to that scale?

I've seen in an article that, unused fingers staying in air is a sign of poor technique, do you agree?

Thanks in advance...

Dont 'do' anything with those fingers. Unused fingers are supposed to be relaxed.
