I'm surprised no-one has seen fit to comment on this - it's not every day that a Cziffra arrangement is posted in the audition room.

I am really rather impressed with this. Fine playing, both technically and musically; there is a nice feeling for the style, and some attractive improvisatory flourishes. Congratulations.

I was too much surprised and waited just to see when someone will comment on this. I hadn't heard this piece and I must admit it's great. And the playing here is also great, and really suitable for this style of music.

One thing only. I wish this was on an acoustic piano. If you have time and you want, record it in a normal(...) piano. It will be much more impressive.

Thanks for posting that link to your audio post.  I noticed that I had listened to it a year ago.     (Don't ask me what I had for lunch today ha-ha!  )  Anyway, I just listened to it again and really prefer the Yamaha sound over the e-piano.  Either way though, a terrific accomplishment!  Excellent!

I've heard of others looking to upgrade their camera/audio setup.  For my own recordings, I very recently upgraded my stuff.  I decided to stick with audio postings only, so upgraded from an analog (cassette tape deck system) to a direct stream digital system.  Bought the Korg MR-1000 DSD unit, which does it all.  I kept my Nakamichi electret small diaphragm condenser mics with omni-directional capsules though, as they're studio quality; but I did buy much better mic cables for them.  This way I can do true stereo, digital recordings without the extra expense for video equipment.  But for your purposes, video might be important to you. 

When the time comes for you want to upgrade, you might want to first post an inquiry in the "Anything but Piano" forum here explaining your objectives.  There are some members here that know a TON about doing recordings that can give you good ideas.  I also found the staff at Sweetwater.com to be knowledgeable and helpful.

ok, so rachfan makes a good point; recordings made on a digital are pretty weak by default, so I redid this one on the yamaha:
