How to overcome procrastination? Again.
on: May 06, 2008, 12:29:23 AM
I'm still looking for 'my' answer.

I think it is that the project appears (or is) overwhelming.

In which case, there really isn't a chance to finish it.

And that is causes stress, which is pain.

'My' answers may be...
Just work on one little piece.
Stop analyzing it.
Force myself to work just for 30 minutes.
Get away from the computer.  Go to an isolated place and just work.
Do something.  Get some little bit done.  Then the overall plan and path my become clear.

My answers in there somewhere....

Continually think of the end result, and realize that the more you get done, the better you will feel. One step at a time.

Stop analyzing it.

 ;).

Get away from the computer.

Mmmhmmm. . . .

Do something.

Sounds like you've got it all figured out to me.

Settle for less.

Just throw something together.

Those work too.  If the work is for someone else... There's a pretty good chance they'll accept whatever you turn in. Sad, but true.

When you earnestly believe you can compensate for a lack of skill by doubling your efforts, there's no end to what you can't do.
