Take a listen to John Farrell's version of King Chanticleer:https://homepages.tesco.net/~stridepiano/midifiles.htm#midiIt's No.31It's harder than the Joplin.Or how about Abreu's Tico-Tico?remy
I'm figuring you're looking for ragtime suggestions??Take a look at Gershwin's 1st Prelude.&feature=related
That's a great idea... any ideas on where to find sheet music for that?
I found the sheetmusic in the local library, never tried finding it on the internet but that might be hard since the sites i know about are focussed on classical music. But if you live in a decent city, go to the library gyzzzmo
I second the suggestion for Bolcom--His "Graceful Ghost Rag" is the best rag I have ever heard. Here is a shortcut to a radio broadcast of Michael Hawley playing it. There's an interview and the rag is at the end. I think he plays it beautifully.https://web.media.mit.edu/~mike/music/03-01/mp3/07%20More%20talk.%20%20Graceful%20Ghost%20Rag.mp3Have fun!Teresa
I had that in mind before, the only reason I won't play that is because it's a bit too slow for this concert... It's beautiful, but I need something more upbeat
If you want it that badly ill scan the sheetmusic for you :p
