Bargain grand UK

I have a student who is looking for a grand piano (or baby grand) not bigger than 6'1" and is looking to pay around £10 - 11 k (british pounds) what is the best that can be aquired in this price range??

You'll get plenty of choice up to that price. I'd try to find a small Steinway (can't remember what all the small ones are, I think the Models O and M are pretty small) because they always made a point of building small grands as decent instruments rather than the apologies that some makers put out. Some small Blüthners have quite impressed me, too. best of all is the little Fazioli but you'd be more than just lucky to get one of those for £11000!

(Obviously I'm thinking second-hand here. I can't think of anything I'd regard as a sensible purchase for a serious musician at that price new.)
