I get a huge kick out of the "Airplane" movies!  I never seem to grow tired of watching them, because I see something different every time I watch!  Look in the background at the crowd or whatever.  And plus I love them because there is absolutely NO plot!  It's totally mindless humor and sometimes that's necessary, isn't it?!

indeed, but actually i prefer 80's movies that are supposedly non-comedies - like commando - which manages to be the funniest movie ever without even being a comedy.

Comme, you're a genius.  I agree completely.  Although any of those 80's arnie movies are a close second.  Running man, Red Heat, Raw Deal...

i like Office Space - i can pretty much only remember the stapler guy, but i know there must have been other hilarious things in that movie

also comme, bad comedies can be funnier than they actually are (80's comedies especially, of course)

and any movies starring richard pryor and gene wilder are awesome like a party in your soul

oh - and old black & white movies with Arthur Askey, who was funny back then, and is funny in a whole new way now (in the sense that people these days would be laughing more at him, not with him)

I really like Rowan Atkinson in "Bean" and "Johnny English".  However, I laugh my head off the first time I see them, but wont laugh again unless I wait years and forget stuff about the movie.

I loved "Shrek" as well- all those parodies on disney, I never get tired of it.  I especially liked the part when Princess Fiona is singing to the Bird like in sleeping beauty, and the bird explodes. lol

Kill Bill was funny in the way people get decapitated and blood spurts out like a fountain.  I also leked the part with Buck, you know "My name's Buck and Im here to _____"

My favorite unintentionally funny movie is Cyborg starring Jean Claude Van Damme.  I was over at a friend's house and we were flipping channels and came upon this movie.  I had not seen it since it first came out and it is simply hilarious - the action, the dialogue, the voices themselves, the ridiculous story, the awful acting, and especially the cinematography.  We especially got a kick out of the final fight scene.  Before they fight, the two main characters just look at each other for about a minute.  That may not sound very long, but that's a long time on screen.  I just recently learned that there is a Cyborg 2, so I need to get that one as well.

Movies that are supposed to be serious that never made it to theatre.

But I may be sold on Commando, simply because of the handshake scene at the beginning, "Dylan!....Youuuu sunnnnuvub****!"

incredible I can watch that movie over and over again.

Definitive List:

1.   Plan 9 From Outer Space."  The 1959 debacle that starred Bela Lugosi.  Unfortunately, Lugosi died before filming started so they used unrelated stock footage and then hired a guy with a cape over his face throughout the film.  The film also features ridiculous editing (scenes inexplicably go from night to day), pitiful acting, terrible directing and laughable special effects (you can see the strings suspending the flying saucers).  This film won the "Golden Turkey Award" for the worst film ever made.  After seeing Plan 9, you will understand why the first 8 plans failed!  A MUST see, folks.  It is available on dvd.   Get a group of friends and laugh your heads off!!    And remember, "Future events like these can effect you in the future."

2.   "What About Bob?"   Hilarious Bill Murray film.

3.   "Dumb and Dumber."   A classic.

4.    "Office Space."  The first half features some of the funniest takes on corporate life.  The second half is weak, though.

5.    "Ace Ventura II."

Commando gets one of my votes too, but hmmm, aren't you talking about the Predator armwrestle here? Which is funny in parts and has great rewatchability value, but I find overwhelmingly scary on the whole!! How about John Carpenter's "Dark Star". Oh, and Toy Story I and II.

Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Havent seen many older ones.

Meet the parents= funny

I though Old School was hilarious. I almost peed in my pants when Will Ferrell got shot with the donkey tranquillizer.

Ron Burgundy was pretty funny.

I think that Rowan Atkinson is pretty funny sometimes, but I wonder if hes like that all the time?

That movie somehow kept a sense of humor yet guilt cause it'd suck to happen in real life.  It kinda stuck in my head even for like 2 days after seeing that movie, even more so than Vol 2.

And I still can't fully remember that movie.  All I know is that Arnie is part of the "special forces" commando unit and he lives in a house in the desert with his daughter?  The bad dudes kidnap the girl so Arnie comes to the rescue.  Wasn't there a part in the movie where he gets trapped behind bullet proof glass and gets beat up by a whole bunch of baddies?  Sorry if I'm butchering this movie but it's kinda hard to keep track of all his hero movies (except for T2 of course)

Another part if I remember correctly is he's running around with a Shotgun and blows a few guys away (like he does in every movie).

The funniest movie I ever saw without a doubt was Chinese Ghost Story 3.

The second funniest movie I ever saw was Thirteen Ghosts.

And, yeah, Office Space sure is hilarious.

DarkWind - I was thinking the same thing.  Kung Pow is great!  The part where the baby rolls down the hill, the battle scene, the stomach plug scene...ahh.  I need to watch it again.

A couple of others that, although probably not the funniest, are still worth watching: Princess Bride and Thumb Wars.

John Landis' "Animal's House"

(incidentally, the main actor - Tom Hulce, went on to play Mozart on Amadeus - they shoud have cast John Belushi as Salieri;D)

King Arthur: Old woman.

Dennis: Man.

King Arthur: Man, sorry. What knight lives in that castle over there?

Dennis: I'm 37.

King Arthur: What?

Dennis: I'm 37. I'm not old.

King Arthur: Well I can't just call you "man".

Dennis: Well you could say "Dennis".

King Arthur: I didn't know you were called Dennis.

Dennis: Well you didn't bother to find out did you?

King Arthur: I did say sorry about the "old woman", but from behind you looked...

Dennis: What I object to is you automatically treat me like an inferior.

King Arthur: Well I am king.

Dennis: Oh, king eh? Very nice. And how'd you get that, eh? By exploiting the workers. By hanging on to outdated imperialist dogma which perpetuates the economic and social differences in our society.

King Arthur: I am your king.

Woman: Well I didn't vote for you.

King Arthur: You don't vote for kings.

Woman: Well how'd you become king then?

[Angelic music plays... ]

King Arthur: The Lady of the Lake, her arm clad in the purest shimmering samite held aloft Excalibur from the bosom of the water, signifying by divine providence that I, Arthur, was to carry Excalibur. THAT is why I am your king.

Dennis: [interrupting] Listen, strange women lyin' in ponds distributin' swords is no basis for a system of government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony.

Dennis: Oh, but you can't expect to wield supreme executive power just because some watery tart threw a sword at you.

Dennis: Oh but if I went 'round sayin' I was Emperor, just because some moistened bint lobbed a scimitar at me, they'd put me away.

Dennis: Come and see the violence inherent in the system. Help! Help! I'm being repressed!
King Arthur: Bloody peasant!

Dennis: Oh, what a giveaway! Did you hear that? Did you hear that, eh? That's what I'm on about! Did you see him repressing me? You saw him, Didn't you?

Knight 1: ...You must cut down the mightiest tree in the forest... WITH... A HERRING!

[Holding the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch]
King Arthur: How does it... um... how does it work?

Sir Lancelot: I know not, my liege.

King Arthur: Consult the Book of Armaments.

Brother Maynard: Armaments, chapter two, verses nine through twenty-one.

Cleric: [reading] And Saint Attila raised the hand grenade up on high, saying, "O Lord, bless this thy hand grenade, that with it thou mayst blow thine enemies to tiny bits, in thy mercy." And the Lord did grin. And the people did feast upon the lambs and sloths, and carp and anchovies, and orangutans and breakfast cereals, and fruit-bats and large chu...
Brother Maynard: Skip a bit, Brother...

Cleric: And the Lord spake, saying, "First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin. Then shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. Three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who, being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it.
Brother Maynard: Amen.

All: Amen.

King Arthur: Right. One... two... five.

Galahad: Three, sir.

King Arthur: Three.
