I have played this song way too many times!!!

Help!!!

Have you ever played a song so many times you get worse at it instead of better?

I have a recital coming up soon and I have been practicing the Minute Waltz and Clair de Lune for quite a while to prepare.  Now both songs are "stale" and are going downhill.  What should I do?  About a week ago they were perfect!  Now I'm really sick of them and they have lost their shine and I'm making a ton of mistakes.

Does anyone have any suggestions for when this happens?

Thanks  :)

It must be quite a feat to sing the Minute Waltz and Clair de Lune. Try fixing your vocal technique to not make as many mistakes. Good luck singing those pieces!

Try to play some other pieces for a while, and don't listen to recordings of them either. After that you can try those pieces again, and you may start loving them again ;)

So..you feel boring with the song. It's better for you to practice another pieces for a while. It's usefull to increase your ability and can make your feeling better.
If you just play one pieces every time, it's seems like doing one acivities every day, it's very boring.Find another activities and you will feel your life is not boring. So u must try another pieces for a while. And if you still feel bad with the song, you can try to record your playing and hear your playing throught the recording. You can feel good and the song will shine in your hearth. But if you found that the song still not shining, try to play the song in front of your friend. Make they feel that you play the good song.So you can make the song shining in your friend's hearth.(Sorry my english is very bad).^_^
No one is perfect and have no fault, but I will do the best

stop playing it for a few days, and after 5 days, play them again and see how they go, i did that with some competition pieces and they sounded alot better
