day job
on: June 06, 2008, 07:34:42 PM
How many of you university / professionally trained musicians have a non-music related day job?  What do you do?
Made a Liszt. Need new Handel's for Soler panel & Alkan foil. Will Faure Stein on the way to pick up Mendels' sohn. Josquin get Wolfgangs Schu with Clara. Gone Chopin, I'll be Bach

I'm actually a marine biologist, freelance architect, and I dabble in importing and exporting latex.

And you?

I'm a hustler serving only devout Christian communities -- Mormons, those within the Washington, DC Beltway, the Vatican, you know, anywhere that the nasty itch arises.

And you are a Piano Street gold member, mind you.  Where do you
find the time, Bob?  ;)

Hmm... That's a tricky one.  Try either setting it slow or setting it too fast.  Add the 25th hour in the day that way.  Haha.

(That was a joke up there by the way.)

For us musicians, the music of Beethoven is the pillar of fire and cloud of mist which guided the Israelites through the desert.  (Roughly quoted, Franz Liszt.)

Oh I can only imagine where you were going with this...  ;)  Shoot, if that were MY day job, I'd make time as well!
