Which is a harder Beethoven Concerto?

I want to play a Beethoven Concerto and I am confused between the 3rd and 4th. Which one is harder??

The harder one is the one you can't play as well as the other.

I think I already know that the harder one is the one I can't play as well as the other. I am asking about which has more technical/musical difficulties than the other for an average pianist, not specifically for me??

i thought it was no.3. cos i've never seen any 14yr old play the c minor concerto while glenn gould played the no.4 at 14!

lol, worst argument evar, Gould was a prodigy. The C-minor is waaaaaaaay easier than the G-major one, the latter one is also deeper, more philosophical. Even the opening bars will probably give everyone headaches :P .

Yes!  Having played the G Major, I must have spent literally hours working on the opening bars alone.

beethoven pc 4 is arguably the most sublime of all concerti, and definitely one of the most difficult musically.

and i thought the technique required for the no.3 was harder than the no.4! well dont mind me anw. a kid won't know much about concertos n difficult stuff

how does the emperor rate vrs the 4th? i just saw a dvd of zimmerman playing both but they seemed about the same technical level to me (amazing dvd btw). I've looked at the music of no.5 but not of the 4th.
